Human Growth Hormone: The Key to Reverse the Aging Process

As we get older, we notice several changes in our physique as well as in our zest for life. These changes are primarily caused by the decline in the levels of human growth hormone (HGH), the hormone produced by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland. As its name implies, HGH functions in promoting growth and regulating height. Thus, the pituitary gland produces large amounts of the hormone during childhood and adolescence so that we can achieve the desired height. While height failure results when there is HGH deficiency in childhood, aging is the main effect of HGH deficiency in adulthood.

The link between human growth hormone levels and aging gave researchers idea that supplementation could be the best way to address the problems with aging. Most of us only notice the physical signs of aging such as sagging skin and wrinkles; however, aging has greater effects on our entire body system. Aging affects the functions of the vital organs, making them less efficient in their function. Our immune system becomes less responsive to the threats and thus we easily get sick.  As we age, we are more prone to disorders and other health conditions.

Essentially, aging is now considered as a degenerative disease that can be treated. Since it is mainly caused by the decline in the levels of HGH, it could be treated by increasing the levels of this important hormone. For several years, researchers have invented ways to increase the levels of human growth hormone. Initially, they developed synthetic hormone from outside sources. The synthetic hormone is loaded into the bloodstream thereby causing immediate increase in the levels of HGH. Although this method is effective, this is not highly recommended.

The use of injections has remained restricted due to its side effects. In fact, it is supposed to be used only to help children with human growth hormone deficiency. Doctors have been open about the potential side effects of injecting synthetic human growth hormone for the purpose of discouraging wide use and abuse of HGH injections. However, due to the publication of studies that demonstrate the anti-aging and bodybuilding benefits of HGH, the clamor for HGH did not die down. Instead, HGH has been more popular than any other anti-aging product today.

As demonstrated by studies, it is apparent that the key to reverse the aging process is HGH supplementation. Fortunately, supplementation is now possible without the need for injections. Scientists have devised ways to increase HGH levels naturally, that is, through stimulation of the pituitary gland. It was found that the pituitary gland could be stimulated to produce greater amounts of human growth hormone even at old age if there is sufficient amount of precursors and releasers. These precursors include amino acids, which serve as the building block of human growth hormone. The amino acids are effectively delivered into the body through an HGH spray. Essentially, arginine, glutamine, glycine, valine and isoleucine are among the main ingredients of HGH spray.

As we age the glands loose the stimulus that allows the cells to produce these hormones. The pituitary glands have trouble in conveying the message to produce more HGH.
